Apple Tech Talk iOS5 São Paulo
Just got back from Apple full day conference here in Brazil, was awesome, the only bad thing is you have to choose from 3 different rooms to watch the conferences. They were all running at same time, I picked the ones related to games so I was almost the time on room B watching Allan Schaffer – Apple Game Technologies Evangelist.

There was a good cover on Game Center Multiplayer features, turn based match and also on Open GL, Compositing Operations Image CI filters and Face Recognition, also watched Mark Kawano Apple’s Interface and User Experience Evangelist, and Eryk Vershen Apple Media Technologies Evangelist talking about game and Air Play.

During the conference I was able to talk to Mark Kawano on the LAB and showed him my games, he pointed me some directions to make them better, so I will be changing some interface design and also change the default controls of some games, tune up the physics and fix some screen transitions accordingly.
He also said the game had one of the best designs he have seen on iPhone. Was pretty great to have this feedback from Kawano, Apple Interface Evangelist, the guy who wrote the iOS Human Interface Guidelines.

SoccerVirtualCup – Finishing update 1.6

I’m finishing this week the update 1.6 for SoccerVirtualCup, it was possible to reduce, almost 20 megabytes and also made it a universal app. Now it will run on iPad with iphone 4 images.
The game engine also have been improved, but the major update will come next year, hopefully on version 1.7

We are on our way of finishing Mini Space Fighters, a space ship like Gradius, side view style game.
It´s already on beta version, been tested by many people, the game will feature a space ship, some bots, and different types of guns, rocket launchers, laser guns, repair bots and shield repair bots.
You will be a ranger defending earth from the invasion of reptilians race. They will try to destroy the Solar System, to drain the nuke energy to their ship.
We are expecting to launch it by the end of the year, stay tunned.

We are also on the way of finishing beta version of Fear Garden, a side view platform game, with halloween characters like Mr. Skull , Don Draco, Prince Mummy, Teen Wolf, Lady Blonde Bones, Gasper Ghost, Lady Red Bones, Lady Blue Bones, Dr. Pumpikins, Blue Kid, Red Kid, Yellow Kid.
Here you start as Mr. Skull and will be going to have to save the Halloween monsters, that are locked on a castle, by saving a monster, it gives you the hability to play with this monster.

Racing game – Unity3d

We just started working a new project, will be a racing game for ipad and iPhone.
The game will be a top view game, controlled by the accelerometer, and compete against 10 computer ai opponents. I planning also a carrear mode and multiplayer.

I’m working on the 3d, it has to be low poly, about 7k to 10k vertices per screen.
